What We Do
High School Admissions Prep
SHSAT, ISEE, SSAT,
Regis, Hunter, TACHS
Choosing the right high school in New York City is an important and exciting decision - and one that feels overwhelming to many families. Our team helps each student become the strongest applicant they can be, while allowing each parent to take a deep breath and focus on being a parent!
Our founder is an alumnus of Regis High School and Georgetown University; this firsthand experience shapes how we approach every student's preparation. We build a personalized plan for each student and stay with your family through every stage of the process, from targeting the right schools to hitting "submit" on the final application.
In recent years, our students have been offered admission at Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, Regis, Horace Mann, Trinity, LaGuardia, and more.
Wraparound Application Support
For many competitive NYC schools, the test can feel like just the beginning. In addition to test prep, we offer comprehensive services to help you cross the finish line of application season.
School Selection, Application Planning and Timeline Mapping. The first step to a successful cycle is knowing what you're looking for. We have a network of tutors who know these schools well - and in some cases, attended them - and are ready to help you think through this first step. Once that's done, we'll help you map out the next few months with a concrete plan - test dates, deadlines, and most importantly, a countdown clock to having everything submitted!
Essay Coaching. Our tutors are experienced in working with students to brainstorm, outline, and revise their application essays. We'll help your student think through what's meaningful and worth writing about, then support them through the writing process while keeping things on schedule.
Interview Prep. Interviews are an important opportunity for certain schools to get to know your student beyond their writing and test scores. This will also be the first interview experience for many high school applicants. Our tutors are ready to build your student's confidence by working through meaningful talking points, conducting mock interviews and offering constructive feedback. Each of our students will walk into their interview comfortable and ready for a conversation.
Academic Tutoring
Good old fashioned academic tutoring is right up our alley. Our team is experienced with a variety of academic areas through college level. Whether it's preparing for a big test or crossing the finish line of a tough academic term, reach out and we'll pair your student with someone who can explain things the right way.
