About Us
We started where many of our students are right now. Terence attended Regis High School and Georgetown University, and remembers firsthand the same process his students now prepare for. Our tutors share similar stories — graduates of competitive private and specialized schools, some of whom went on to teach at them. We've seen this world from every angle: as students, as educators, and as the people families call when the stakes feel highest.
Friend of a Friend Tutoring grew out of word of mouth: one family told another, a friend referred a neighbor. Texts and emails kept coming in not because of an ad, but thanks to recommendations among trusted friends.
New York's best schools are extraordinary — and demanding. Getting in is competitive. Once you’re there, staying ahead of academics and extracurriculars is no joke. We've sat with families in the thick of admissions season and in the middle of difficult school years, and what we keep seeing is the same thing: parents managing timelines, deadlines, and decisions on top of everything else life asks of them, often for the first time, without a roadmap.
That's what we're built for. Our job is to make sure your student is prepared for every test, essay, and interview in front of them — and to take the big-picture planning off your plate entirely. You focus on your family, and we'll handle the rest.
